Happy Campers Banner

****************We interurrupt this three part series to join Wow Us Wednesday's*****************

There are always tons of adorable ideas. I just love to browse through it all!

You might remember that I did a camping adventure themed birthday party for Blu's third birthday.
Well....I pretty much went with the surroundings for decorations. We had it at a lakeside park that we are members of and it is already very "campy".

I do LOVE all of the adorable pennant banners floating around out there, so in addition to the fabulous cake- I did a couple of those and WAH-LAH...decorations!

The first one welcomed guest as they arrived at the pavillion. I simply cut the triangles from cardstock, went on a scavenger hunt for sticks, hot glued them into letter shapes and then hot glued the triangles to large size bias tape.

The second banner was the main party banner and it was double sided. It said adventure on one side ( because that is one of Jack's favorite words) and Run-A-Muk on the other side (because that was the name of the party, Camp Run-A-Muk).
It was made using the same theory as the first one, but instead of wood, I cut white circles and then wrote the letters in sharpie!

Last but certainly not least...I made a little bunting to go on the cake to pull it all together. That was the extent of my decorations. Two banners and a cake bunting.
Of course the cake served as decoration to.
The cake.
WOW!
It was awesome....but that is a whole seperate post.

Stay tuned...there is sure to be more about the cake in part 3 of the 4th of July/ Camping Adventure/ Jack's Birthday Party EXTRAVAGANZA 3 part series!

For now...it is back to The Pickle Tree for kids clothes and BEACH TOWELS!

4th of July/ Camping Adventure/ Birthday Party EXTRAVAGANZA! -3 part series???

Part 1- 4th of July Weekend

Jack LOVES to jump off the boat. He has really taken to it and will do it until he absolutely turns into a walking sleep zombie! He does a little "spin" at the end that Uncle Bad Guy calls his "signature move".

Oh yeah, that is Rayna and Randy and Barry in the video- out faithful lake crew!
Randy and Rayna are floating in the lake on the BEST floats ever. They are hammocks. There are two tubes at each end connected by the little hammock in the middle. They are great for lounging, or you can shift around int he water and make it more like a chair- TOTALLY versatile! We can't find anything that beats them- been using them for YEARS!

In case you are feeling confused/ overwhelmed/ not willing to put so much brain power into the order of things... don't worry. The main thing is this~ the next few posts will be a series of pictures and videos from the Marsh family week between 4th of July and Jack's birthday party!

ENJOY!

Three

Just like that....he is 3.

I can hardly believe that much time has passed.
These goggles in the picture, he calls his goggle mask.
This little booger says things to me like:
Mommy- quit talking and concentrate on your car ( when I am driving)
Hey....I have an idea...(when he wants to distract me)
Mommy, I want to just stay home ( when it is time to go to school)
Let's go out on the NEW boat ( whenever he thinks about it)
CANNONBALL!!! (when he jumps into the lake or pool)

He tells Mrs. Kim when we are leaving that we are going to a restaurant ( which I am usually all for)
We squints his eye and says "ARGGGHHHH Matey" like the best pirate EVER
He RAAAAWRS big roars and says "I'm gonna eat you up!"
He likes to try for NO timeouts
He HATES the potty ( UH-OH)
He says
Mommy, I love you soooo much and my heart melts to the floor into a pile of mush

He is such a big sweet boy and I am so very proud of him.

We had a big week celebrating the 4th of July and then this little man's birthday at the lake. I have so much to show and so little time!
Be back soon!
